Demonstrator+ program

“Development and testing, in demonstrative scale, of an innovative, compact module for producing energy from biomass”

Name of beneficiary:    Cad-Mech Sp. z o.o.
Project value:    20 451 458 PLN
European Union funding: 15 493 370 PLN

Project term: from November 1, 2013 to October 31, 2016

The project is co-financed by the European Union, from the European Regional Development Fund

The project is implemented in cooperation with The Faculty of Mechanics of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Vehicle Engineering Institute

About the project

In 2013, Cad-Mech acquired financing from the European Union, devoted to the development of a design and testing, in demonstrative scale, of an innovative, compact module for producing electricity from biomass. As part of the works, the device will be designed and tested in complex simulations. After that, an innovative, compact and autonomous module will be built. If positive results are obtained, the production of a worldwide-new, innovative product – Ekompakt will be launched.

How does Ekompakt work?

Etap 1 - Biomasa

Biodegradable waste is thrown into a tank

Etap 2 - Zgazowanie

Gas is excreted from the biomass

Etap 3 - Energia elektryczna

The gas is converted into electricity by an engine
